It’s official: Goku joins the list of ambassadors of the future Tokyo Olympic Games!
The beloved hero of the Dragon Ball series joins the rest of the emblematic characters of the Japanese pop culture such as Mario, Hello Kitty and Doraemon, who had already appeared in the video presentation during the last Olympic games held in Rio.
Most of the mentionned characters will be available and printed on the different merchandise products (cap, T-shirt, bag etc.) already announced on the official store of the event!
Goku will not be the only Japanese Anime/Manga/Video game hero to be in the Olympic Games events since Naruto, Sailor Moon, Captain Tsubasa, Luffy (One piece), Astro Boy and Pac-Man will also take part of the show. The Japense are really amazing!
– Information About The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games:
The International Olympic Committee entrusted on the 7th of September 2012 the organization of the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in 2020 in Tokyo after Meeting for its 125th Session in Buenos Aires.
Tokyo won 60 votes to 36 for Istanbul after a tie in the first round between Madrid and Istanbul. Tokyo had also applied for the organization of the 2016 Olympic Games and already hosted the Olympic event in 1964.
